I work at the front desk of a dental clinic. When a patient arrives, I greet them and check their name and appointment time. This morning, a new patient came in for a check-up. He looked a little nervous, so I spoke slowly and explained what would happen next. First, I checked his phone number and gave him a short form to complete. It asked about his health, any medicines he takes, and any allergies. Then I showed him where to sit. The dentist was running about ten minutes late, so I let him know. While he waited, I offered him some water. When the dentist was ready, I walked with him to the treatment room. By then, he seemed more comfortable.

It's Monday morning, and Anna arrives for her first appointment at a dental clinic. She speaks English and knows only a little of the local language. At reception, Mia checks her name and appointment time. Then she asks, “Would you prefer to speak English during your visit?”
Anna says yes. Mia gives her a short form and explains what to include: contact details, any medical conditions, medicines and allergies. One question is unclear, so Anna asks for help. Mia explains it in simple words and gives her time to finish.
Before Anna sits down, Mia asks if she has any pain today. Anna mentions a sore tooth on the left side. Mia notes this for the dentist. She then explains that the dentist is with another patient and the wait is about five minutes. Anna knows what will happen next and where to wait. She takes a seat near the reception desk.
Falar

Explica a mudança, pede desculpa, propõe duas alternativas e pede confirmação.
