So this weekend is a bit crazy. Tomorrow morning I'm taking the car to the garage, which should take about an hour. Then I'm meeting Rita for brunch, and in the afternoon we're helping my cousin move house. On Sunday I'm not doing anything. I've promised myself a lazy day, no plans, no phone. Well, maybe a walk. Why don't you come over on Sunday afternoon? We could have a coffee on the terrace. Just text me before you leave.

Ler

Talking about arrangements When you talk about plans that are already arranged (a time, a place, other people), English uses the present continuous: "I'm meeting Sara at six." "We're flying to Madrid on Friday." "What are you doing tonight?" For invitations and suggestions: "Do you fancy…?" "Why don't we…?" "Would you like to…?" And for saying no politely: "I'd love to, but I'm already doing something."

Falar

Imagine a friend asks about your weekend. Speak for 30–60 seconds: describe your arrangements and invite your friend to join you for one of them.

Escrever

Write 4–5 sentences inviting a friend to do something with you this weekend, with the time and place.

Consolida

Ouve a conversa e repara em como se fala de planos já combinados.
Escreve uma mensagem curta com os teus planos para o fim de semana.
Grava-te a convidar alguém para um desses planos.

Responde em voz alta:
