Maria arrives at the airport three hours before her flight to London. She looks at the departure board and finds her airline’s check-in desks. “Good morning. May I see your passport, please?” the airline agent asks. Maria gives him her passport. “I have one suitcase to check in and one small bag to take on the plane.” “Please put your suitcase on the scale,” he says. It weighs eighteen kilos, so there is no extra charge. “Would you prefer a window seat or an aisle seat?” “A window seat, please,” Maria replies. The agent gives her a boarding pass. “Your flight leaves from gate twenty-four. Boarding starts at ten fifteen. Please go through security first.” Maria checks the name, flight number, and boarding time on her pass. Then she puts her passport somewhere safe but easy to reach. She follows the signs to security, feeling ready for her trip.

Falar

Imagine you are checking in at the airport. Speak for 30–60 seconds: greet the airline agent, say where you are flying, explain how many bags you want to check, ask for a window or aisle seat, and ask where to find your gate.

Escrever

Write 3–5 sentences to an airline check-in agent explaining where you are flying, how many bags you want to check, and which seat you prefer, and asking what time boarding starts.
