Ouvir

Vais ouvir uma viajante a explicar como lidou com um atraso longo no aeroporto.

Our flight to Athens was delayed for five hours. At first, nobody told us anything, so I went to the information desk and asked, "Could you tell me what's happening with flight BA632?" They said there was a technical problem. I asked two important questions: "Are we entitled to a meal voucher?" and "Will I miss my connection?" The answer to both was yes, so they gave me a voucher and booked me onto a later connecting flight. My advice: don't just wait at the gate. Ask what you're entitled to, write down the new times, and keep all your boarding passes. If the delay is long, you may also get compensation later, so keep everything.

Ler

Your rights when a flight goes wrong When a flight is delayed or cancelled, you have more rights than most passengers realise — but you usually have to ask. Start with information: "Could you tell me the reason for the delay?" and "What's the new departure time?" Then ask about care: on long delays, airlines often provide meal vouchers, and for overnight delays, a hotel. Ask directly: "Are we entitled to a meal voucher?" and "Will the airline provide accommodation?" If you have a connection, say so immediately: "I'm worried I'll miss my connection to Athens. Can you check the options?" Finally, protect yourself later: keep boarding passes, take a photo of the departure board, and ask for written confirmation of any new booking. These small steps make refunds and compensation claims much easier.

Falar

Imagine your flight is delayed by five hours and you will miss your connection. Speak for 30–60 seconds: explain your situation at the information desk, ask what you are entitled to, and ask about your connection.

Escrever

Write a short message (4–5 sentences) to your hotel explaining that your flight is delayed and you will arrive a day later. Ask them to keep your reservation.
